OYE CARR - OWNER / OPERATOR ON PAUSE
“BLACK FOREST” RADDONNEUR
Everyday in Germany is a day on the bike. He rides to school, soccer practice, and around town. He’s looking forward to really using his road bike this spring and training with his Dad. Pretty confident he can beat him uphill, sprinting, or whenever.
SEKAI TULLY CARR -
MAHDIA TULLY CARR - SCHOOL COMMUTER (FOR REAL)
Riding to school through the Silberwald (silver-woods) is pretty cool. She likes the fact that the seasons make the ride different almost every time. Took some spills her first few times out but her confidence is growing and so is she.
Sarcastically called “shop mom” by her employees, Danielle loves running the bike shop from both near and far. She delights in seeing the smiles on people’s faces when they find that just right bike or when a kid gets antsy to ride. An avid biker, she “won” the 2010 edition of the “Blood and Guts” ride to Sheffield, MA. Riding highlights include: climbing the Col de Peyresourde on a mountain bike and climbing Tuscany’s bianchi strade. Most of all, Danielle likes to ride bikes these days with her kids, who amuse her to no end.
DANIELLE TULLY - OWNER / HEAD HONCHA
Dale Lord has a special place in his heart for all bikes. An avid BMX-er, mountain biker and general mountain man, Dale will take on any two wheeled vehicle with self preservation as an afterthought and his most immediate adrenaline-pumping needs his only concern. He will attack your bicycle’s problems with the same tenacity but with such precision that he has earned the nickname, “The Doctor”. When not cycling, Dale sometimes eats while thinking about cycling , as well as sleeps while dreaming about cycling.
DALE LORD - SERVICE MANAGER
SEAN SULLIVAN - SUPER MECHANIC
IAN NEWCOMB - PADAWAN
Sully was raised by ferrel dogs until the age of 15 when the pack sent him off into the world. His passions in life include: skiing, burritos, and overalls. He arrived at MODSquad’s front door swaddled in a blanket made in Burlington, VT. He said he was looking for bagels and the world-famous Krispy Cream donuts. Because he loves deep powder and long glade runs, MODSquad offered him a job. Oh, and he can ride a bike.
Ian is an avid outdoor enthusiast. A downhill maniac and road racer, we found Ian last July, deep in the woods wrapped around a tree with a snowboard. He said he was getting a head start on the season. Clearly needing some guidance, we offered Ian a place at MODSquad. He’ll be heading off to SUNY’s Environmental Science and Forestry program next fall where he will further explore his passion for the great outdoors. (He’s also a world class knife thrower: ask to see the scars.
